Meditation & Power of Thoughts

Meditation is not a way of making your mind quiet. It is a way of entering into the quiet that is already there – buried under the 50,000 thoughts the average person thinks every day.

Deepak Chopra

Thoughts have power, thoughts are energy. And you can make your world or break it by your own thinking.

What is meditation?

There are many different types of meditation and descriptions. For our purpose, we will look at meditation as a process where we sit with ourselves and allow our daily thoughts to rest and clear space for our inner wisdom to surface, accessing a deeper level of consciousness with our selves.

A simple form of meditation is mindfulness meditation.

Mindfulness has been described as knowing directly what is going on inside and outside ourselves, moment by moment. Mindfulness makes us more aware of the present moment, how our thoughts are driving our emotions and behaviour. When we are mindful we become more conscious of our thoughts, feeling emotions, sensations from our world around us.

When we become more mindful and aware of ourselves and the world around us we are able to liberate our mind and thoughts to experience new perspectives.

We have created “Natures Rainbow Mindfulness Meditations for Teens” as a meditation resource, which provides a space for the listener to sit with themselves, take a moment to breath and be and follow a mindfulness guided meditation based on a different aspect of our natural world, each one chosen by a different colour of the rainbow. In addition to this each meditation has its own unique music composition incorporating the frequency connected to each colour.
